DOTTYBACKS

Pseudochromis dixurus : Forktail Dottyback. Red Sea.

Pseudochromis flavivertex: Sunrise Dottyback. Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. This species has a yellow form which seems to be more common in the south.

Pseudochromis fridmani: Orchid Dottyback. Red Sea.

Pseudochromis olivaceus: Olive Dottyback. Red Sea.

Pseudochromis pesi: Pale Dottyback. North Red Sea. This species is one of only a few Red Sea species on the IUCN Red List of endangered species. Photo, Dahab, Egypt.

Oxymonacanthus halli: Harlequin Filefish. Red Sea form of O. longinostris.

Paraluteres arqat: Mimic filefish. Red Sea. Mimics Canthigaster margaritata, a Red Sea endemic Toby Pufferfish.

Caesio striata: Striated Fusilier. Red Sea.

Caesio suevica: Suez Fusilier. Red Sea.
